Pay Rate: $25-28/HR

Field Research Assistant will be performing field and greenhouse activities at a research facility, such as planting, applying pesticides, applying fertilizer, harvesting, and processing relatively small samples of Cotton.


Field Research Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Planting, applying pesticides, applying fertilizer, harvesting, and processing relatively small samples of Cotton.
  • Support general greenhouse and field operations, in both indoor and outdoor environments. Work most heavily within field contexts 
  • Support generation and documentation of research data.
  • Maintain high standards of safety and quality.  
     
Field Research Assistant Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or scientific related field.
  • Field, greenhouse, and/or warehouse experience, such as pest management, planting, harvesting, filling and sorting seed packets, crossing, will be preferred.
  • Bilingual ability in Spanish and English is desired.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication/personal interaction skills to foster teamwork, enhance a positive work environment, and effectively develop strong internal and external working relationships with a diverse group of people.
