The Senior Project Engineer will manage and lead all aspects of capital projects including scope development, cost estimation, design engineering leadership, start-up and commissioning across multiple manufacturing sites focused on material handling systems for raw materials and batch delivery.
   
Senior Project Engineer Responsibilities: 
  • Manage and lead capital projects including definition of scope, execution of design, specification development, technical contract creation, and commissioning of batch delivery systems.
  • Development of cost estimates and scopes of work for internal engineering, outside engineering firms, and capital equipment delivery.
  • Fundamental understanding of bulk material storage, handling, dosing, and conveying.
  • Detailed mechanical design knowledge of batch systems and batch process control
  • Supervision of batch design firms in the development of drawing packages for batch equipment:  hardware selection, drawings, layouts, and interface diagrams.
  • Coordinate with various process discipline counterparts on process interfaces, systems integration, and equipment installations (Civil, Electrical, HVAC, etc...)
  • Knowledgeable in the development of P&IDs, hardware selection, layouts and interface drawings.
  • Experience in equipment check out, debugging, start-up / commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrate drive and initiative to complete tasks proactively and with limited oversight and multiple concurrent projects
  • Capable of clearly communicating technical concepts and results to an audience of variable technical and process understanding
Senior Project Engineer Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Material Science Engineering
  • Experience leading projects from scope development through start-up and commissioning.
  • Experience in equipment check out, debugging, start-up / commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Bulk powder storage, dosing, measuring, delivery, conveying knowledge.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Design and Inventor modelling Software, and other related design packages.
  • Travel 20-30%.
