The Service Manager provides technical support for injection molding machines, oversees technicians, supports sales teams, coordinates and tracks shipments, and collaborates with the sales team.

Service Manager Responsibilities:
  • Maintain all responsibilities of a Field Service Technician, including service visits as necessary.
  • Act as the primary technical coordinator for all aspects related to injection molding.
  • Coordinate the receipt of imported machines at the warehouse.
  • Arrange shipping of machines to customer locations.
  • Inspect machines upon arrival at the warehouse.
  • Manage the service team, including scheduling service visits and installations.
  • Generate weekly service schedules and update service worksheets for weekly service meetings.
  • Coordinate with the sales team regarding machine shipments and parts order status.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and sales.
  • Travel approximately 50% within the United States.
  • Generate reports for monthly meetings via CRM.
  • Manage cases in CRM, creating new cases as new service requests are received.
  • Follow up with customers after installations and service visits to ensure satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues with customers over the phone.

Service Manager Requirements:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work unsupervised while maintaining a high level of productivity.
  • Assertive yet fair in managing field technicians.
  • Reliable and able to follow instructions.
  • Team player mindset.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the injection molding industry, with technical service or field service sales experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the plastics industry is expected.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Valid driver’s license.
