The Senior Project Engineer will manage and lead all aspects of capital projects including scope development, cost estimation, design engineering leadership, start-up and commissioning across multiple manufacturing sites focused on material handling systems for raw materials and batch delivery.

Senior Project Engineer Responsibilities:

Manage and lead capital projects including definition of scope, execution of design, specification development, technical contract creation, and commissioning of batch delivery systems.
Development of cost estimates and scopes of work for internal engineering, outside engineering firms, and capital equipment delivery.
Fundamental understanding of bulk material storage, handling, dosing, and conveying.
Detailed mechanical design knowledge of batch systems and batch process control
Supervision of batch design firms in the development of drawing packages for batch equipment: hardware selection, drawings, layouts, and interface diagrams.
Coordinate with various process discipline counterparts on process interfaces, systems integration, and equipment installations (Civil, Electrical, HVAC, etc...)
Knowledgeable in the development of P&IDs, hardware selection, layouts and interface drawings.
Experience in equipment check out, debugging, start-up / commissioning and troubleshooting.
Demonstrate drive and initiative to complete tasks proactively and with limited oversight and multiple concurrent projects
Capable of clearly communicating technical concepts and results to an audience of variable technical and process understanding

Senior Project Engineer Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Material Science Engineering
Experience leading projects from scope development through start-up and commissioning.
Experience in equipment check out, debugging, start-up / commissioning and troubleshooting.
Bulk powder storage, dosing, measuring, delivery, conveying knowledge.
Proficient with AutoCAD Design and Inventor modelling Software, and other related design packages.
Travel 20-30%.
