The Labor Relations Administrator is responsible for oversite of employee relations and outreach programs. This candidate should have experience with working in collective bargaining agreements, grievance processes and discipline. The ideal candidate will come from the public sector.
Labor Relations Administrator Responsibilities:
- Oversee and administer Employee Relations and Employee Outreach programs
- Support the administration of union contracts, Collective Bargaining Units (CBUs), and exempt employee discipline and grievance procedures.
- Develop, distribute, and enforce agency-wide labor relations policies and ensure alignment with relevant civil service regulations and collective bargaining agreements.
- Ensure that disciplinary actions are appropriate, timely, and compliant with applicable labor agreements.
- Assist in creating and delivering training to managers on union agreements, labor laws, policies, and administrative regulations.
- Supervise a team of staff, including hiring recommendations, task assignments, performance evaluations, and fostering professional development.
- Act as the primary liaison to the relevant office for collective bargaining issues, labor contract interpretations, and negotiations with employee organizations.
- Identify and resolve employee relations and compliance issues, managing grievance investigations and suggesting corrective actions.
- Provide counsel to management on disciplinary issues, grievance resolution, and case preparation for arbitration.
- Oversee the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program, ensuring compliance with regulations and resolving related complaints.
Labor Relations Administrator Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources is required.
- At minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in labor relations or collective bargaining.
- Experience in policies and procedures related to labor relations, EEO, and human resources management.
- Prepare and maintain accurate reports.
