The Millwright will repair or construct all types of equipment and structures throughout plant and office.
Millwright Responsibilities:
- Works from complex drawings, sketches and verbal instructions given by the millwright foreman.
- Takes care of all mechanical breakdowns anywhere in the plant.
- Maintains and repairs all types of conveyors and elevators, filters, blowers, vacuum pans, screens, etc.
- Is competent in the use of millwright and welding equipment.
- Is qualified in rigging and handling heavy equipment, brazing, soldering and cutting.
- Works from scaffolds and ladders.
- Has some knowledge and skill in other maintenance crafts.
- Does routine equipment inspections as assigned. is responsible for maintaining tools and equipment in good operating condition.
- Reports any damage to machines or equipment or spoilage of material to immediate supervisor.
- Maintains work area in neat and orderly manner.
- May be required to do other duties related to the job.
Millwright Requirements:
- G.E.D or High School Diploma.
- Journeyman certificate or equivalent education/training.
- 3-5 years of industrial experience.
- Previous experience with welding and equipment assembly.
- Knowledgeable on standard measuring devices.
- Comfortable working in awkward positions when required.
