- Add first aids and near misses into Intelex
- Attend monthly NA HSE Webinar and monthly Veg Safety Meeting
- Ensure program gap analyses are being done annually
- Ensure that Work in Progress Audits and annual Contractor trainings are being documented properly
- Maintain Central area to include work related law posters, MSDSs, & Worker Protection Standard Posters
- Ensure inventory of PPE is being completed and ordered
- Ensure that PPE is being worn and safety rules are being followed
- Participate in monthly safety meetings
- CPR and AED training every 2 years
- Participate in and think of ideas for sustainability
- CMR training
- Facilitate Management Reviews
- Work with Seed Inventory Process Associate on PowerPoint to highlight what site is doing right and what needs we have
- Ensure that employees are trained on forklift and handout forklift driving licenses.
- Ensure Monthly Inspections are being completed
- Annual Inspection of fire Extinguishers done every February.
- Ensure documentation of Annual Backflow Testing from the city
- Ensure that SDS’s are being added to 3E software
- Spotfire – Used in trending of Intelex to include in Management Review
- Maintain ISNetworld with regular, high-risk contractors and contractors needed for capital projects
- Ensure inventory of PPE is being completed and ordered
- Determine, with Site Lead’s supervision, which chemicals to spray
- Measuring how much chemical to use
- Supervise or mix chemical
- Drive tractor or supervise tractor driving for spray
- Maintain Worker Protection Standard paperwork
- Obtain a Certified Applicator’s License within a year of working
- Warehouse/Field Operations
- Help put seed packets in order during planting
- Help with irrigation monitoring
- Help transplant seedlings
- Sow seeds in the greenhouse
- Collect and Submit leaf and soil samples
- Conduct safety trainings for field labor crew
- Ensure that field techs are supplying water and shade as necessary
- Data Collection/Technology
- Assist in Notetaking on Bulbs (Note–Taking: BOA and contractor BOA will be fully responsible.)
- BS/BA degree in Business, Agriculture, Engineering or Environmental Sciences and/or related field
- Experience in Entomology, Plant Pathology, Weed Science, Agronomy, Botany, Biology, Horticulture, or a related field;
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office (ppt, excel, word, teams, one drive);
- Excellent oral, written and communication skills;
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs (a bag of seed);
- Valid driver’s license. Driving record (MVR) will be reviewed (i.e. moving violations, accidents, license suspension, etc.) and must meet guidelines based on the company’s Risk?Screening for Hiring Drivers;
- Possess a DOT Driver medical card or the ability to obtain one through successfully completing and passing a DOT physical.
