Hospitality General Manager

The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of a local restaurant and event center, including both the front and back of house operations.

 General Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including dining room service, bar operations, kitchen management, event planning, inventory control, and customer experience.
  • Event management, planning, and execution.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the restaurant.
  • Monitor costs, expenses, and revenue streams to ensure profitability and achieve financial targets.
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to promote the restaurant and attract customers.
  • Conduct daily facility walk-throughs to ensure all stations are set prepared, and restocked to create a clean, guest-friendly ambiance.
  • Develop programs to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
  • Complete all required administrative work including reviewing sales reports, answering emails and voicemails, receiving deliveries, and paying invoices.
  • Organize and prioritize every shift to ensure the entire team exceeds our guests' expectations in all aspects of their experience.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of front-of-house and back-of-house staff members, including servers, bartenders, chefs, and kitchen staff. Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and excellence. 
  • Respond promptly to guest feedback and inquiries to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

General Manager Requirements:
  • Minimum five years of experience as a restaurant manager.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing or Communication preferred.
  • Experience in opening a new restaurant concept a plus.
  • BarSafe, Serv safe preferred.
  • Experience running large events is preferred.
  • Ability to assess situations and customize solutions.
  • Ability to work on your feet for 8 hrs plus.
  • High energy with an entrepreneurial drive to succeed.
