The Analytical Chemist Associate will support the transformation of PDF/DOC-based test methods into a structured digital format within our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). This role requires foundational knowledge of analytical laboratory work processes, test methods, and LIMS systems, specifically Nexus LIMS (LabVantage) and the Generation 2 Cross Platform data integration model with ENOVIA PLM.

Analytical Chemist Associate Responsibilities:
  • Convert and structure test methods into the Nexus LIMS system, ensuring compliance with Gen 2 data structure.
  • Configure and maintain parameter lists, test methods, and test conditions within the LIMS platform.
  • Apply governance rules, workflow execution principles, and transformation rules to streamline test method execution.
  • Collaborate with method builders, part owners, and global product stewardship teams to ensure accurate data integration.
  • Manage attributes and selections for effective test method execution, including reflex rules and transformation protocols.
  • Perform physical, chemical, and bioanalytical characterization of finished products or raw material test samples.
  • Utilize bench chemistry techniques such as pH measurement, viscosity testing, particle size analysis, chromatography, and gravimetric analysis.
  • Operate laboratory instruments including pH meters, pipettes, spectrophotometers, and other analytical tools.
  • Maintain accurate notebook documentation and ensure compliance with quality systems and data governance policies.
  • Analyze and interpret collected data to generate reports that inform business decisions.

Analytical Chemist Associate Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
  • Experience working in an academic or industrial laboratory setting with emphasis on data documentation.
  • Strong understanding of LIMS, specifically Nexus (LabVantage), and experience with Global Master Data Stewardship.
  • Proficiency in analytical methods and laboratory workflows.
  • Ability to navigate and configure test parameters, methods, and conditions within LIMS.
  • Familiarity with ENOVIA PLM and Gen 2 Cross Platform data integration.
  • Strong math skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
