The Engineering Lead will drive operational excellence by ensuring our manufacturing processes produce high-quality products that meet customer expectations. This role is responsible for quality assurance, process optimization, and continuous improvement. As part of the plant leadership team, you will collaborate to enhance safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness while reducing waste and variability.
Engineering Lead Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a team in manufacturing operations, prioritizing safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems (QMS) to uphold product quality standards and regulatory compliance.
- Define and measure KPIs focused on quality and process improvement
- Conduct thorough investigations and root cause analyses to tackle quality issues and implement corrective measures.
- Analyze product and process data, providing feedback to make recommendations to optimize performance.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute solutions for manufacturing challenges, leveraging engineering expertise.
- Propel continuous improvement efforts to elevate product performance, streamline processes, and optimize costs.
- Coach, train, and develop quality and process team to contribute to process improvement, process, and safety culture.
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training protocols to enhance manufacturing processes and ensure consistency.
- Work in tandem with the Plant Leadership Team to devise and implement strategies aligned with overarching business goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, ideally in an industrial environment.
- Demonstrate robust leadership capabilities, particularly in guiding teams within a 24/7 operational environment.
- Strong background in Statistical Process Control techniques with ability to analyze data to support decision making.
- Exhibit proficiency in Quality Management Systems and adeptness in root cause analysis methodologies.
- Showcase exceptional problem-solving aptitude and a penchant for driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate seamlessly across various levels of the organization.
- Exhibit an unwavering commitment to safety, quality assurance, and achieving tangible business outcomes.
- Lean Certification or experience preferred.
