We are seeking a skilled Sr Accounting Project Lead with a solid foundation in GAAP to join our  team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with experience in financial analysis and reporting, who is keen to develop their expertise in SAP FICO. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, apply their accounting knowledge to SAP, and gradually gain experience in SAP system configuration.

Senior Accounting Project Lead Responsibilities:
  • Perform detailed financial analysis using SAP, focusing on Finance, Controlling, and Profitability Analysis to support strategic decision-making and financial reporting.
  • Drive process improvements within SAP by applying accounting expertise to streamline financial operations and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Work closely with Business Process Owners to ensure SAP configurations align with financial reporting requirements and business objectives.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for SAP FICO-related inquiries, leveraging accounting knowledge to support both front-end and back-end functions.
  • Review financial postings and outcomes within SAP to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Document and maintain comprehensive records of SAP configurations and changes for auditing purposes and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide mentorship and support to team members in financial analysis and SAP processes, contributing to departmental goals and financial excellence.
  • Adhere to company safety policies and regulatory standards to ensure a high level of quality in financial operations.

Senior Accounting Project Lead Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting and financial analysis, with a strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Proficiency in SAP FICO, with hands-on experience in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Certification in SAP FICO or related accounting credentials.
  • Experience in a hybrid accounting role with both front-end and back-end SAP responsibilities.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in SAP system configuration and back-end processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
