Laboratory Technician will perform routine research tasks under supervision, supporting scientific work by assisting with general lab operations. Key responsibilities include DNA extraction, quantification, and normalization, as well as other laboratory duties.
        

Laboratory Technician Responsibilities:
  • Identify areas for methodological improvements and propose enhancements.
  • Plan and execute projects of limited duration and scope within guidelines.
  • Produce accurate research experimental results and manage information/data effectively.
  • Assemble and configure small-scale production equipment and control systems, documenting findings and communicating results.

Laboratory Technician Qualifications:
  • High school diploma is required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, engineering, or related scientific field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a laboratory or research environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with information/data management systems and techniques.
  • Proficiency in operating small-scale production equipment and troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
