Maintenance Planner this role is expected to be professional, highly skilled, and exceptionally competent. They will review and gather information on new maintenance requests for approval, plan all approved requests by securing necessary parts before scheduling work, and investigate details by consulting with requestors. This position plays a key role in enhancing work planning and scheduling to improve the efficiency of maintenance craftsmen.

Maintenance Planner Responsibilities: 
  • Achieving top performance involves excelling in equipment effectiveness, minimizing unit and maintenance costs, managing spare parts efficiently, and meeting scheduled targets.
  • Leads and engages in TPM teams to create and carry out inspection task lists for operators.
  • Daily reviews new SAP work notifications and, if needed, contacts the originator to gather all necessary information for presentation to the RWP approval committee.
  • Planning of all approved notifications to secure materials needed to prepare work order for scheduling and completion.
  • Develops and manages SAP maintenance plans and recurring task lists as instructed by the Maintenance Leader.
  • Generates a monthly backlog report for work orders and a monthly report for kitted jobs.
  • Develops and manages TPM task lists and inspections as directed by the Maintenance Leader. Ensures schedule compliance, maintains TPM preventive maintenance, and trains operators on completing TPM inspections.
  • Participate in safety and housekeeping programs as established by Maintenance Leader.
  • Participates in teams to develop and implement engineering solutions.
  • Acts as a backup for the Storeroom Coordinator and Reliability Administrator during their absences.
  • Permanent member of RWP work request approval committee and scheduling committee.
  • Works with Storeroom coordinator and Maintenance buyer to ensure parts kitting for all uptime and downtime scheduled work orders.
  • Secures quotes for external resources by meeting with requestors to clarify work requests, creating scopes of work, and obtaining competitive bids from contractors. Also completes additional tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Leader.

Maintenance Planner Responsibilities: 
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Working knowledge of SAP processes
  • Previous experience in a similar role supporting maintenance planning for a production environment.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting, climbing stairs and ladders, and work within an active manufacturing environment.
  • Fundamental understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
