Energy Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Utility bill tabulation, analysis of rate structure and regression analysis
  • Benchmarking using Energy Star Portfolio Manager and CBECs Data and Other Databases
  • Review existing building drawings, identify potential energy conservation measures (ECMs) and field verify existing conditions
  • Field verification to identify and document: Potential ECMs, Operational and usage characteristics of the facility, and Low-cost / no-cost and behavioral based opportunities
  • Development of energy and water savings calculations using one or more of the following: whole building energy modeling and Data based algorithm analysis in Excel
  • Develop detailed and rough order of magnitude (ROM) cost estimates
  • Develop report, tables, graphs
  • Develop financial models including life cycle cost analysis, cash flow models, internal rates of return and return on investment

Energy Engineer Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience energy audits or energy modeling.
  • Knowledgeable in HVAC controls, Building Automation Systems, Site Inspections.
  • Experience with Carrier HAP, a plus.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer, a plus.
  • Anticipated 15% travel.
  • Due to client requirements -  Full security clearance and U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Applied Science from an ABET accredited college or university.
