Lab Technician will assist with lab testing and perform lab support activities under the supervision of Scientists and Engineers.

Lab Technician Responsibilities:
  • Performs essential job duties as defined by lab
  • Records, tests, and analyzes results following cGMP, and GLP standard operating procedures, work instructions, and specifications
  • Utilizes LIMS to record experiments and results
  • Communicates timing of project work.
  • Maintains equipment and records, including daily performance checks and cleaning.
  • Complete simple maintenance of instruments and tools
  • Cleans and maintains lab space.
  • Complies with safety policies. Follow safe work processes and notifies appropriate personnel of safety issues.
  • Served may serve as EPA GLP personnel
  • Analytical Essential Job Duties:
    • Conducts analytical chemistry tests including pH, viscosity, chromatography (GC, LC) and others
  • Development Lab Essential Job Duties:
    • Prepares samples for testing
    • Performs standard tests and execute specialized testing (auto-pumper testing, durability, compatibility, etc…)
    • Performs daily instrument functional checks
    • Order lab supplies
  • Microbiology Lab:
    • Operates autoclave to sterilize equipment and supplies and decontaminate waste
    • Operates standard laboratory equipment including automated media maker/filler and dishwasher
    • Independently prepares basic media and reagents
    • Complies with specific safety precautions for a BSL2 Laboratory
  • Product Development Essential Job Duties:
    • Under supervision of scientist, prepares basic lab batches and assists in preparation of samples for testing
    • Tests stability samples and reports results to formulator
    • Performs routine instrument checks

Lab Technician Requirements:
  • Minimum of a completed HS Diploma required.  Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
  • 1-2+ years of experience in a lab environment
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Self-starter, motivated, and shows initiative when given tasks
  • Strong organizational skills
