Sales Associate is responsible for generating sales opportunities with new clients in a defined market.

Sales Associate Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate sales efforts with department team members and collaborate to cross-sell products and services.
  • Developing and implementing a personal sales plan with direct accountability for annual production goals.
  • Establish and execute a sales development plan to acquire new clients.
  • Collaborate with team members to cross-sell various lines of coverage.
  • Maintain a high level of sales activity to achieve production goals.
  • Source leads, identify decision-makers, and conduct cold calls.
  • Analyze prospective client needs and recommend suitable coverages.
  • Customize insurance programs and present features to promote sales.
  • Maintain client relationships and provide advisory services.
  • Manage prospecting activities and maintain electronic records.
  • Develop a network of professional contacts through referrals & events.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and participate in training and seminars.

Sales Associate Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Sales, or related discipline required (Higher Education Preferred)
  • 1-3+ years of experience in a sales role with a preference for B2B selling
  • Strong understanding of insurance products and services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft CRM software for maintaining records.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
  • Pro-active, goal-driven, and confident.
  • Service-oriented and collaborative.
  • Effective networker with exceptional interpersonal abilities.
  • Outgoing, professional, and attentive to detail
