Formulations & Technical Consultant will provide expert insight and recommendations on silicone lubricant, sealant, coating, and/or foam New Product Development projects.

Formulations & Technical Consultant Responsibilities:
  • Technical Project Leadership: Assist and lead technical project reviews, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Research and Analysis: Review scientific literature and research to stay informed about advancements in silicone formulations and related technologies.
  • Industry Trends Monitoring: Keep abreast of industry trends and changes, providing strategic insights to guide product development.
  • Collaborative Ideation: Serve as a sounding board for new ideas, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and executive management to shape the company’s strategy and direction.
  • Product Development Support: Provide expert recommendations on formulation strategies and product specifications to enhance performance and marketability.

Formulations & Technical Consultant Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s or Ph.D. is strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of direct experience in new product development and formulation work with silicone products or other polymeric systems.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in building materials and electronic markets is highly preferred, particularly with structural adhesives, 1K and 2K systems, adhesion promoters, and fillers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in project management and technical documentation.

This position can offer flexible work options (WFH), but with the expectation to be onsite at the Cleveland HQ when needed.
