Senior Retirement Specialist will help individuals retire successfully. This position is a core support for retirement plan services within high-profile organizations, engaging multiple decision makers in plan selection, enhancement, and retention. Key components of this position are teamwork, strategic thinking, and superior relationship management at all levels. Success is found with collaboration and connection to  drive sales, provide education and deliver service for plan participants in the public sector.

Senior Retirement Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Schedules and conducts one-on-one and group seminars for potential and existing participants within an assigned territory.
  • Assists/supports the Program Director in territory planning, execution strategies and team building/development activities.
  • Serves as a financial resource to existing and potential participants by providing counseling and guidance on the features and benefits of defined contribution retirement savings plans which will drive sales growth.
  • Responsible for developing relationships with key entity contacts especially at the department head level to expand products and services within the plan.
  • Helps and supports Program Director, including training on new presentations, product information and policy or process changes, etc.
  • Acts as a team lead for a group of Retirement Specialists and functions as a point of contact for inquiries and help troubleshoot problems.
  • Leads special projects that may relate to marketing, customer service, enrollment, and other administrative processes of the deferred compensation program.
  • Works with dedicated or regional home office teams to solve customer issues or implement actions to improve processes for the field.

Senior Retirement Specialist Responsibilities:
  • 3 years of related experience in financial, sales or educational services functions.
  • Knowledge of 457 plans preferred, as well as 401k or 403B products
  • FINRA Series 6, 63, and 65 required (or equivalent). Life and Health Licenses required.
  • Undergraduate studies in related field preferred (insurance, business, marketing, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of the competitive landscape, and comprehensive knowledge of annuity and investment products.
  • Preferred expertise in the public sector business supporting financial products/services. Ability to effectively navigate political and economic landscapes to achieve business results
  • Excellent sales, communication and presentation skills required. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a territory of clients.
