Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the installation of new equipment, inspection and repair of existing equipment, and maintaining daily operation of the equipment, preventative maintenance on process equipment and facility systems, providing emergency repairs as needed.

Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the installation of new equipment, inspection and repair of existing equipment, and maintaining daily operation of the equipment, preventative maintenance on process equipment and facility systems, providing emergency repairs as needed.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

- Performs assigned advanced preventative maintenance work according to company standards ensuring all instructions are followed and that each step is executed fully.
- Responds promptly to maintenance calls; diagnoses the failure; makes required repairs.
- Performs advanced troubleshooting techniques on all material handling systems to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical and control system problems.
- Performs the proper preventative maintenance diagnoses and repairs for Production and Packaging Lines.
- Uses the CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System) to enter and retrieve activity log information and reports.
- Develops a basic knowledge of the PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) controls, PC equipment and the electrical distribution system.
- Mentors other employees in the department; provides training and guidance on the proper care of the material handling equipment.
- Adheres to safety standards by promoting a safe work environment through attending safety committees, training, and verifying all safety concerns are addressed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Maintenance Technician Requirements:

- High School Diploma/GED minimum required; Associate’s, Technical Certificate, or Journeymen’s Card highly preferred
- Four (4) years light-industrial maintenance experience required
- Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications.
- Ability to follow detailed instruction to complete routine procedures and operate standard equipment.
- Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management.
- Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals.
- Ability to anticipate and identify problems and use sound judgment and fact-based analysis to develop effective and efficient solutions.
- Ability to mentor, coach and act as a knowledge resource to other employees.
- In depth knowledge of mechanical design, layout, fabrication and repair practices as they apply to power transmission and conveyor belt applications.
- In depth knowledge of motors and motor control methods.
- Proficient in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
- In depth knowledge of the PLC and computer control circuits.
- Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing the production system.
- Ability to weld, burn, and solder.
- Ability to read and create electrical and mechanical schematic diagrams.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
