The Senior Technical Service Engineer will lead technical service activities to support customers’ operating plants. This individual will report to the Americas Technical Services Leader and will be critical in capturing customer satisfaction for the business.

Senior Technical Services Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Execute technical service engagements at customer sites.
  • Lead technical service teams at customer sites including commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting, plant evaluations, process studies, and training.
  • Provide high-quality technical service to support technology operations, align with sales strategy, manage customer complaints, and foster internal and external customer relationships.
  • Execute Technical Service Agreements and through on-site/remote troubleshooting, turnaround consulting, operator training, plant optimization/revamp studies, and support Acid Plant commissioning, startup, and shutdown.
  • Respond rapidly to internal and external customers in distress.
  • Mentor other engineers in the business.
  • Ensure all technical service work is conducted in accordance with safety standards.
  • Support standardization of technical service delivery processes and tools and document best operating practices.
  • Coordinate with regional resources to support international customers.
  • Ensure documentation and knowledge capture from the team
  • Ensure safe work practices, report unsafe conditions, and prioritize safety awareness.

Senior Technical Services Engineer Requirements:
  • BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 10 or more years of experience in sulfuric acid process technology.
  • Knowledge of a process simulator such as Aspen Plus, HYSYS, etc. is preferred.
  • Demonstrates Core Values leadership and performance.
  •  Safety-conscious mindset.  Knowledge or training in EHS preferred.
  • Demonstrates strong technical rigor with an innovation mindset.
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate with impact and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Thrives in a self-directed environment.
  • Travel will be required to customer sites worldwide.  Around 40% travel expected.
