The Laboratory Researcher will be responsible for setup, operation, and data analysis of a variety of lab-scale test units. The researcher will develop, maintain, and operate analytical instruments and methods associated with these test units.

Laboratory Research Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for setup, operation, and data analysis of a variety of lab-scale test units.
  • Develop, maintain, and operate analytical instruments and methods associated with these test units.
  • Document results and make recommendations based upon data generated in the laboratory. 
  • Maintain detailed lab notebooks for later use in patent application and defense.
  • Communicate and share results with research team.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and protocols within laboratory setting.

Laboratory Research Qualifications:
  • BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering required. MS preferred.
  • 2-5 years of related experience is preferred.
  • Mechanical skills to build and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power Point, Word, programming of process control software such as Labview and analytical equipment software.
  • Experience with laboratory equipment such as gas, liquid, and ion chromatography, inductively coupled plasma spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction, microscopy, and wet chemistry are required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Ability to climb ladders in a plant environment carrying 15 lbs of equipment while wearing proper personal protective equipment is required.
