Legal Talent Acquisition Specialist

Legal Talent Acquisition Specialist will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the Firm.
Position Objectives:
•    The Talent Acquisition Specialist reports to the Human Resources Director and manages the full recruiting lifecycle to find, hire, and retain quality talent.
•    Develop and grow a network of relationships with a database of qualified active and passive talent to consider for new position openings.
•    Partner with the Human Resources Director and HR team to design, develop, and implement innovative recruiting strategies.
•    Stay active with current job boards, social networks, and platforms to find talent, and plan, create, and release job descriptions and announcements.
•    This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the Firm.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
•    Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process for attorney and legal support roles.
•    Collaborates with Firm management and practice group leaders to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
•    Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the Firm.
•    Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.
•    Screens applications, selects qualified candidates, and develops talent networks to find qualified active and passive candidates.
•    Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
•    Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
•    Partners with human resources staff to build and maintain long-term relationships with select key universities, professors, administration, and student organizations to develop a talent pipeline for the summer associate (internship) program.
•    Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resources staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
•    Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and Firm policies.
•    Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•    Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
•    Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
•    Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
•    Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
•    Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
•    Proficient with or possess the ability tot quickly learn applicant tracking software or other recruitment systems; experience with Paychex Flex is a plus.
•    Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
•    Proficient with Microsoft Office applications or related software.
•    Knowledge of legal industry processes is a plus, though not required.
Education & Experience:
•    Associates degree required, Bachelor’s degree beneficial, in Human Resources or related field.
•    At least three (5) years of experience managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process with three (3) of those years in legal services recruiting.
•    Equivalent combination of education and experience.
•    Additional HR training or certifications a plus.
