Shift Supervisor Responsibilities:
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, while ensuring a safe, secure, and legal work environment.
  • Achieve department goals by setting clear expectations, monitoring performance, and coaching employees as needed.
  • Plan and evaluate department activities to ensure efficient operations and productivity standards.
  • Gather business, financial, and operational data to define strategic goals and evaluate outcomes.
  • Stay current with industry trends through workshops, publications, and networking to enhance professional knowledge.
  • Communicate regularly with managers, directors, and other departments to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Complete necessary documentation for office staff regarding production and staff management.
  • Ensure all production lines have the required materials based on the production schedule.
  • Work with the Quality team to ensure products meet company and customer standards.
  • Enforce safety, food safety, and quality standards and ensure proper documentation when necessary.
  • Support continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and reducing costs.

  • Lead and manage a team to achieve production and safety goals.
  • Maintain compliance with safety protocols and food safety regulations.
  • Train and develop employees while fostering a culture of growth and improvement.
  • Ensure production processes meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Maintain accurate production records and ensure data integrity.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and drive efficiency.

Shift Supervisor Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in a team lead or supervisory role, preferably in manufacturing or food production.
  • Strong understanding of safety, food safety, and quality standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage production schedules and ensure material availability.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on maintaining data integrity.
  • Experience with quality control processes and ensuring compliance with company standards.

Preferred Skills:
  • Previous experience in a production or food manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with production scheduling and inventory management.
  • Strong ability to coach, train, and develop employees.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, to cover shifts as needed.
