Quality Manager will be responsible for assuring quality products are produced and distributed through the control of raw materials, production processes and sub-suppliers.

Quality Manager Responsibilities:
  • Process improvement leader for activities and measurement.
  • Advanced Product Quality Planning leader.
  • Process and product capability, identify and actively support activities to improve key process performance indicators.
  • Customer and supplier contact on corrective actions and improvements.
  • Directs SPC and quality efforts.
  • Supports marketing and sales in customer product problem solving and projects.
  • Provides problem solving expertise and 6-sigma project support.
  • Ensures that quality system requirements are established, implemented and maintained in accordance with ISO 9001
  • Manages internal quality audit program.
  • Initiates plant internal/external quality, environmental and safety audits.
  • Manage and monitor required testing, including training the hourly workforce for product testing and inspection.

Quality Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline, preferably in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical.
  • 7-10 years of experience in Quality within a manufacturing organization.
  • Significant knowledge of ISO 9001 compliant quality systems, automotive quality requirements, lean tools and Six Sigma (ASQ CQE or Six Sigma Blackbelt is a plus).
  • Working knowledge of phenolic chemistry is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of technical competencies in the processed of vacuum forming, rheology, drying, knowledge of fuels.
  • Experience using Minitab and Access are beneficial.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
