Quality Engineer Responsibilities:
- Reviews design plans, process procedures, test procedures, and quality manuals to understand the scope, requirements, and ensure compliance.
- Ensures that products meet the quality and product integrity requirements of the organization and customer
- Supports the customer service team by providing analysis/monitoring and expertise throughout the organizational processes related to the BMS.
- Identifies root causes of problems in the BMS process; recommends and/or implements corrective measures.
- Analyzes data to identify trends in product quality/delivery or defects with a goal of mitigating and preventing recurrence and future defects.
- Ensures manufacturing processes comply with federal, state, local, and industry standards and regulations.
- Evaluates customer requirements and contractual obligations as it pertains to the BMS and related processes of the organization.
- Develop and establish quality assurance measures for new applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing processes throughout their development/product lifecycles.
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers in assessing applications and/or systems under consideration for purchase.
- Analyze documentation and technical specifications of any new application under development or consideration to determine its intended functionality.
- Conduct internal audits to measure and assure adherence to established QA standards for and corresponding documentation.
- Communicate BMS system issues and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.
- Assist in the development of change control processes, practices, and guidelines for new and existing technologies.
Quality Engineer Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline required.
- At least five years of related experience required; supervisory experience is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to serve as a liaison with developers, project managers, and customer support.
- Thorough understanding of federal, state, local, and industry standards, guidelines, and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Strong ability to multi-task efficiently.
- Successfully prioritize and mange tasks in a fast-paced environment.
