Risk Management Insurance Analyst

The Risk Analyst is responsible for managing and overseeing multiline claims, including workers' compensation and auto liability, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Risk Management Insurance Analyst Responsibilities:
  • Employs proper judgment and decision making to analyze the claim exposure to determine the proper course of action to appropriately manage and settle the claims.
  • Monitor claims consistent with corporate policies, procedures and “best practices” and in accordance with statutory, regulatory and ethical requirements.
  • Ensure reserving of the claim is properly stated.
  • Prepare and validate the administration of Workers' Compensation claims at the business location level.
  • Participate in the annual insurance renewal process, including gathering exposures, preparing submissions, and providing coverage analysis.
  • Oversee accurate maintenance and administration of all surety bond activity and reporting within portfolio.
  • Oversee accurate maintenance and administration of all insurance policy documentation and supporting information for all lines of coverage.
  • Respond to various inquiries from insurers, brokers, and internal customers.

Risk Management Insurance Analyst Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or any other quantitative discipline.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience with Insurance Carrier, Third-Party Administrator (TPA), Broker, or Risk Management Department with a background in multiline claims (liability and workers’ compensation).
  • Knowledge of industry standards and practices related to workers’ compensation and auto liability claims, with strong analytical skills to resolve claim issues.
  • Ability to serve as a liaison between TPA branch offices, WC Coordinators, and Brokers to effectively administer claims and coordinate early return-to-work efforts.
  • Participate in the annual insurance renewal process, maintain surety bond activity, respond to inquiries from insurers and internal stakeholders, and assist with ad hoc insurance matters.
