The Technical Associate is responsible for supporting the R&D team in delivering technical milestones within the established timelines. Technical direction will come from experienced project leaders and technical leaders within EIF, who will assist as needed with prioritization, planning, and communication of project deliverables.
Technical Associate Primary Responsibilities:
  • Adept at hands-on lab work, creative thinking, and problem solving in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
  • Conduct experiments and evaluations independently. Assume responsibility for executing project workflows, including electroplating, wet chemistry formulation, chemical analysis, and device functional testing.
  • Collaborate with R&D and other functions to successfully deliver against project goals and timelines.
  • Clearly and concisely communicate research to team members of varying technical backgrounds.
  • Ensure compliance with personal and process safety practices, product integrity, and environmental stewardship.
Technical Associate Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a scientific or engineering field.
  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience in the chemical industry or a similar environment.
  • Experience with a diverse range of analytical equipment, including SEM, XRF, XRD, wet chemical techniques, and surface analysis methods.
  • Familiarity with electroplating techniques and electrochemistry. Hands-on experience in electroplating.
  • Experience with application testing of electronic devices.
  • Experience with corrosion science or surface science.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma or certification.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven team player.
