Dairy Process Engineer
This role ensures that all aspects of the startup process are managed efficiently, safely, and within budget. Once the facility is fully operational, this position will transition into a Dairy Process Engineer role, focusing on driving waste reduction, quality improvement, and operational efficiency initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project startup plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, quality control, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and efficient execution.
- Oversee equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, and standardization of operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct system tests and quality checks to verify equipment functionality, optimize workflow efficiencies, and enhance overall performance.
- Identify, prioritize, and eliminate inefficiencies through process improvement initiatives, driving operational excellence.
- Lead capital and process improvement projects, ensuring successful execution within budget and time constraints.
- Collaborate with line teams and process owners to enhance skills, implement best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Manage and mentor a team, providing training, guidance, and leadership to create a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Monitor budgets and financial performance, ensuring cost control and adherence to approved limits while identifying potential risks that could impact project timelines.
- Provide input on material and product initiatives while deploying standardized solutions to optimize production.
- Participate in corporate and external training to continuously develop expertise and stay ahead of industry best practices.
- Report regularly on project progress, key milestones, and operational improvements, ensuring transparency and accountability.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of operations engineering experience with increasing responsibilities.
- Proven experience in project management within a manufacturing or processing environment.
- Strong understanding of processing equipment, technologies, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards in manufacturing or processing.
Nice to Have
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Master’s degree in Engineering.
- Lean Six Sigma Green and/or Black Belt certification.

Annual Compensation Range: $90,000 - $150,000 (based on experience, knowledge, and skills).
