Responsible for leading and managing the technical roadmap and product development plans to meet company objectives.

Director of Engineering Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the development of new products.
  • Management of engineering personnel, budgets, capital plans and other required resources.
  • Build, develop, and lead the Engineering department to ensure that company goals and objectives are achieved
  • Coordination of design, development and release efforts with the entire organization through the use of New Product
  • Introduction process (NPI), Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP).
  • Perform as principal manager and liaison for the above efforts.
  • Actively participate in the worldwide corporate sales and marketing efforts with existing and proposed technical, product, and engineering support solutions.
  • Establish the annual engineering budget and performance measures
  • Develop and support a culture of continuous improvement and best practices within the department and across the Company with time limitations and funding
  • Develop an environment of continual improvement through the use of Lean tools.
  • Be able to explain key concepts of the Quality Policy, Quality Goals, and complete requirements from ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems) training.
  • Execute talent management activities with direct reports.
  • Ensure proper performance management, training, and development
  • Develop an environment of continual improvement through the use of Lean tools.

Director of Engineering Requirements
 
  • Possess the leadership, communication, managerial, and interpersonal skills necessary to be effective within the organization
  • Ability to function as a leader in a team environment
  • Principles of Agile and Lean
  • B.S. degree in Engineering, minimum. 
  • Proven experience in leading the development and/or manufacturing operations of a highly successful electronics or electronics-related business, with an emphasis on the RF and communications industries. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills with the ability to mentor others. 
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to interface with external organizations and customers on business and technical levels.
