Director of Quality will be responsible for leading and managing all quality aspects within the silicone adhesive, grease, and PVC foam business.
Director of Quality Responsibilities:Quality Systems Management: Oversee and maintain quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) to ensure effective processes are in place for product quality assurance.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products and manufacturing processes comply with relevant industry standards, certifications, and regulations.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement strategies for process optimization, waste reduction, and overall product quality enhancement using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement tools.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the quality team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Customer Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality-related concerns, ensuring timely resolution of complaints and proactive quality improvement efforts.
Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to ensure incoming raw materials meet quality specifications, and work to resolve supplier-related quality issues.
Risk Management: Assess risks associated with manufacturing processes, products, and materials, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed.
Audits and Reporting: Conduct internal and external audits and present quality performance metrics to senior leadership, identifying areas for improvement and executing corrective actions.
New Product Introduction: Collaborate with R&D, production, and engineering teams to ensure quality is embedded in the development and launch of new silicone products.
Other responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:
Lead associates engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and technical integrity
Lead quality lab staff to ensure quality of incoming raw materials, work in process, as well as finished goods inspection
Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality
Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service
Utilize statistical analysis to establish product specifications, to determine standards, and to establish quality and reliability of finished products.
Active with internal Continuous Improvement, working with Leadership Team to promote a robust CI environment and increasing the use of Lean & Six Sigma tools.
Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.

- Quality Leadership: Develop, implement, and manage the organization’s quality strategy to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and customer requirements.
- Lead company quality initiatives and advance quality culture and performance
- Lead efforts necessary to ensure ISO Certification
- Ensure appropriate capital and personnel to advance quality initiatives
Director of Quality Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality management; within the chemical manufacturing industry highly preferred
- Deep understanding of silicone materials, their manufacturing processes, and end-use applications.
- Proven experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and regulatory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
- Experience with handling customer complaints, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
Director of Quality Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive quality experience in manufacturing environments
- Experience with ISO certification
- Experience in new product development and introduction processes.
- Certifications in quality management or continuous improvement (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Black Belt).
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and advanced quality tools.
- Experience in mentoring others and developing a team
