The Director of Regulatory & Compliance will drive the organization’s regulatory strategy, ensuring compliance with global chemical regulations and industry standards. This leader will serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team while managing risk, overseeing product compliance, and collaborating cross-functionally to support growth in key markets.

Director of Regulatory & Compliance Responsibilities:
  • Lead Global Regulatory Strategy: Develop and implement the company’s regulatory roadmap across international markets, ensuring alignment with REACh, RoHS, TSCA, and other chemical regulations.
  • Key Compliance Oversight: Oversee the development and management of regulatory documentation (SDS, TDS, compliance reports) and ensure timely chemical notifications and registrations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with R&D, Quality, Product Development, and Commercial teams to ensure compliance in product design and innovation.
  • Regulatory Intelligence: Monitor global regulatory landscapes and proactively share insights and strategies with business stakeholders.
  • Industry Engagement: Serve as the company’s representative with regulatory bodies, associations, and compliance forums to shape and stay ahead of policy changes.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and grow the Regulatory and Compliance function, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Hazardous Materials & Shipping Oversight: Act as the internal SME for DOT classifications and hazardous materials regulations.

Director of Regulatory & Compliance Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field; Master’s preferred
  • 10+ years of regulatory compliance experience within the chemical or manufacturing industries
  • Deep expertise in REACh, RoHS, TSCA, Cal Prop 65, IMDS submissions, and other regulatory frameworks
  • Proven leadership in regulatory affairs and cross-functional collaboration
  • Prior experience in chemical manufacturing is strongly preferred
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and regulatory software/tools

Director of Regulatory & Compliance Travel:
  • Moderate domestic travel required (estimated 20–30%)
