Position Overview:
We’re seeking motivated, hands-on individuals to join our Technology Development & Agronomy team as Field Assistants in Glyndon, MN. This is a temporary role lasting up to nine months, offering the chance to work in the field alongside agronomy professionals, supporting the development of high-quality product data for farmers and customers. Ideal for candidates with agricultural, field research, or farm equipment experience looking to expand their skills in a research-focused environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow all OSHA and client safety protocols on and off-site.
  • Assist with seed preparation, product delivery, field prep, plot staking, and regulatory documentation before planting season.
  • Support planting activities under the supervision of the Agronomy Research Manager (ARM) or Technology Development Representative (TDR).
  • Participate in data collection and recording throughout the growing season.
  • Perform plot maintenance including mowing, hand weeding, spraying, and placing signs.
  • Attend and assist with plot tours, field trainings, and demonstration days.
  • Support all harvest operations, ensuring data is collected efficiently and accurately.
  • Help with preventive maintenance and basic repair of farm and research equipment.
  • Understand and comply with USDA-APHIS and client stewardship requirements for regulated plots.
  • Tow light to medium equipment on trailers as needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Must pass pre-employment MVR & FMCSA checks.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience operating farm or agricultural equipment.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems.
  • Prior agricultural, field research, or farm experience.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Certified Pesticide Applicator license (or ability to obtain one).
  • 1–3 years of relevant field or agricultural work experience.
