Intake Specialist role is central to determining official eligibility for applicants, ensuring all documentation is complete, and providing excellent customer service to families throughout the intake process. The Intake Specialist will assist with appointment scheduling, host intake events, and ensure compliance with funding requirements. In this role, there will travel throughout the community where intake appointments are hosted. Also, this role is a 7 week contract.

Intake Specialist role is central to determining official eligibility for applicants, ensuring all documentation is complete, and providing excellent customer service to families throughout the intake process. The Intake Specialist will assist with appointment scheduling, host intake events, and ensure compliance with funding requirements. In this role, there will travel throughout the community where intake appointments are hosted. Also, this role is a 7 week contract.
Intake Specialist Responsibilities:
- Host daily intake/validation appointments to collect required eligibility documentation.
- Provide timely, supportive communication to applicants and families regarding eligibility status.
- Maintain and update accurate applicant files and assist with data corrections based on review feedback.
- Guide applicants through all enrollment steps, including paperwork, work permits, health exams, and employment forms.
- Input accurate data into tracking systems and databases.
- Assist with generating and submitting program reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support program needs.
Intake Specialist Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree or current college enrollment preferred.
- Previous experience in customer service and strong data entry capabilities.
- Familiarity with databases, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds is strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Professional and approachable demeanor with the ability to work well with individuals from all backgrounds.
- Able to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
- Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively.
- Comfortable using Excel and other database tools to generate reports.
- Must pass a BCI/FBI background check.
- Office-based with occasional travel to appointment locations.
- Frequent interaction with clients and team members.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Requires vision abilities including close and distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
