The Lead Engineer will be responsible for leading a group of 3 quality engineers and 1 supplier quality engineer. This person will ensure the HDM business is upholding all aspects of quality policy, quality management system, and ISO9001 certification requirements.
Lead Engineer Responsibilities:
- Guides the team on priorities and ensures deadlines are met.
- Reviews customer-facing documents for consistency with strategy and messaging.
- Manages team performance as needed.
- Assesses customer requests and determines appropriate responses, engaging with customers and suppliers.
- Drives team goals and accountability.
- Supports supplier quality issue resolution.
- Leads key quality meetings and ensures necessary materials are prepared.
- Aligns with global counterparts on customer requests and projects.
- Updates and improves quality KPIs.
- Collaborates across departments to support quality initiatives.
- Leads ISO surveillance and customer audits.
- Oversees quality incident reporting and root cause analysis.
- Supports SPC initiatives in manufacturing and quality control.
- Ensures management of customer complaints, audits, and checklists.
- Defines qualification plans and approves quality-related changes.
Lead Engineer Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related field.
- Expertise in ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and audit leadership.
- Strong knowledge of Six Sigma, SPC, and statistical analysis.
- Experience with supplier quality management and raw material issue resolution.
- Proficient in root cause analysis and CAPA processes.
- Skilled in managing customer complaints, audits, and regulatory compliance.
- Familiar with quality KPIs, data analysis, and continuous improvement.
