Job Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance operations at the Walton Hills plant, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of equipment, machinery, and facilities. This role provides technical support for preventative and predictive maintenance initiatives, drives continuous improvement efforts, and ensures compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The supervisor will lead a team of maintenance personnel, coordinating training, work schedules, and process enhancements to optimize plant performance.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion of tasks in collaboration with the Production Manager.
  • Lead training programs for new and existing maintenance personnel, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve preventative and predictive maintenance procedures, calibrations, and inspections.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to enhance asset reliability and productivity.
  • Manage contracts with external vendors and oversee capital projects as assigned.
  • Assist the Production Manager in planning and executing the annual plant shutdown.
  • Implement process improvements and standard work procedures to enhance quality and efficiency in the Tool Room.
  • Oversee spare parts inventory, ensuring proper stock levels and efficient receiving processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality and Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHS&S) policies, as well as ISO 9001 and RC14001 management system requirements.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of ISO 9001 and RC14001 management systems.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a chemical setting.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of chemical processing equipment and regulatory inspection requirements preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • SAP experience preferred.
