Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician Overview:
Specializes in either facilities and/ or mechanic maintenance.
Facilities: Performs basic general facilities maintenance under some supervision.
Mechanic: Inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies plant mechanical equipment.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of equipment and systems.
· Perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues with HVAC, lighting, and other building systems.
· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs (e.g., fire risers, air
compressors).
· Respond promptly to maintenance requests, safety concerns, and emergencies (e.g., work
orders).
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
· Install appliances, equipment, fixtures, and shelving.
· Perform minor troubleshooting and repairing of mechanical equipment and systems, which may
require isolating the malfunction, disassembly, and repair.
· Serve as the site contact for relevant contractors such as roofers, electricians, and inspectors.
Basic Qualifications:
· 5-7 years of maintenance experience with electrical and plumbing
· Excellent mechanical aptitude and knowledge of practices, tools, and equipment used to
maintain plant facilities.
· Trade school education or equivalent experience
· Ability to lift and move heavy objects (25 pounds).
· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company
sponsorship.
