National Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a national sales strategy targeting enterprise fleets and large-scale logistics providers. This role will build and manage key customer relationships, lead complex sales cycles, and partner cross-functionally with operations and engineering to deliver customized fleet solutions.
National Sales Manager Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a national sales plan focused on large enterprise fleets (1,000+ vehicles).
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities with national accounts.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with senior decision-makers in transportation, procurement, and operations.
- Lead end-to-end sales processes including RFP responses, contract negotiations, and solution presentations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, procurement) to ensure alignment on project scope and delivery.
- Forecast and report on pipeline activity, revenue projections, and market trends.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
- Mentor and develop regional sales team members, contributing to a high-performance sales culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience, with a focus on enterprise fleet solutions, vehicle upfitting, or commercial vehicle services.
- Proven track record of winning and growing national accounts with Fortune 500 clients.
- Strong understanding of the fleet lifecycle, vehicle specs, upfit options, and related services.
- Ability to manage long sales cycles and complex contract negotiations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% nationwide.
