The Production Supervisor will lead and support the day-to-day activities of exempt and non-exempt employees in Operations. Remove any obstacles (process, policy, or physical) that restrict safe and efficient manufacturing of products that meet or exceed our customers’ quality and service expectations.
Production Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Responsible for describing the quality policy and goals, your contribution to quality, and the effects of not observing requirements
- Develop teams, implement, and monitor processes for the area(s) of responsibility.
- Ensure the safety of the team, and the quality of the processes, improve uptime by maintenance of equipment, and manage capacity to achieve on-time delivery to internal and external customers. Coaching and mentoring.
- Communicate with members of supervision/management. Participate in meetings to establish goals and priorities, and improve alignment, and utilization of resources.
- Facilitate training and set expectations for Team Members in safety, equipment, operations, corrective action, productivity, and quality.
- Tie the expectations to the Company goals through performance planning.
- Collaborate with All functional areas as required.
- Provide team with measurement tools and expectations to report critical operating parameters.
- Develop an environment of continual improvement through the use of Lean tools.
Production Supervisor Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- The Production Supervisor will have a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience should include mixed production processes in a low volume, high product mix operation.
- Leadership abilities to develop and motivate cross-functional teams are critical for this role.
- Effective communication and time management skills are a must. ?
- ISO 9001 and/or ISO 17025 experience preferred
