The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects while ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage project teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement.
Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Accountable for assigned projects and initiatives, including developing project plans appropriate for each project.
- Guide project team using project management standards and methodologies to meet project goals.
- Responsible for the delivery and quality of project artifacts and documentation.
- Oversee resource and cost estimates; implement projects within deadlines and budget.
- Create and execute project plans, revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Effectively communicate across the organization and with clients, including executive-level stakeholders, technical, and non-technical resources.
- Oversee day-to-day project tasks, ensuring teams’ progress against established objectives, timelines, deliverables, and quality standards.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues, and develop contingency plans.
- Facilitate status meetings and communication with project teams and stakeholders to ensure progress aligns with project plans.
Project Manager Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing complex projects, or an active CAPM certification/relevant project management educational experience.
- Experience in Healthcare, Property & Casualty, or Pharmacy Benefit Management insurance, with a thorough understanding of claims and payment processing.
- Strong sense of accountability, commitment to quality, and continuous improvement.
- Expertise in strategic planning, customer training, process improvement, change management, and resource planning.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interact with senior-level stakeholders.
