The Senior IT Buyer will be responsible for acting as Buyer of Record (BOR) to manage and execute new agreements with suppliers and negotiate terms and conditions as needed. The buyer is expected to collaborate with Category Managers and translate category strategies to projects which deliver value to internal stakeholders.

The Senior IT Buyer will be responsible for acting as Buyer of Record (BOR) to manage and execute new agreements with suppliers and negotiate terms and conditions as needed. The buyer is expected to collaborate with Category Managers and translate category strategies to projects which deliver value to internal stakeholders.
Senior IT Buyer Responsibilities:
- Act as Buyer of Record on procurement managed agreements with key suppliers and negotiating terms & conditions
- Execute and own new projects, assemble bid packages, and in many cases directly engage the supply-base for pricing and deal initiation
- Monitors and ensure suppliers are meeting/exceeding all required service level agreements and key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with teams to understand business and regional needs and execute multi-year unique commodity procurement strategies, identify and select suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms and conditions for global research spend.
- Drive negotiations with suppliers.
- Manage supplier relationships (SRM) with key strategic suppliers.
- Engage in dispute resolution and conduct regular and disciplined client engagement for continuous improvement processes.
- Deliver documented savings from bid processes, negotiations, and innovative savings opportunities.
Senior IT Buyer Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in sciences, IT, Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
- 2-5 years of professional experience.
- Certified Six Sigma Green Belt is preferred.
- A high-level of confidence interacting and negotiating with suppliers.
- Ability to evaluate raw spend data, interpersonal skills to extract the project story from site users and bring it to market in a way that excites the approached suppliers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders to accelerate project execution.
